During our stay in Kraków we particularly loved hanging out in one of the numerous cafés and bars, especially in the former Jewish district Kazimierz. I guess one could easily spend a few days in the city just strolling from café to café, sipping one coffee after the other and watching the people walk by. There’re so many different types of them, whether vegan snack bars, organic coffee shops, cozy Jewish pubs or fancy Indie clubs – Kraków truly has something to offer for everyone! Here’s 3 of my faves:
The Green Times Café
Plac Wolnica 8
After having visited Kazimierz, we walked by the “The Green Times Café”. As we were feeling a little hungry and the café looked really lovely and inviting, we decided to give it a try and and I must say we were definitely not disappointed. They do offer, among other things, tasty baguettes with various fillings (I had the rocket/dried tomato/pesto one – yum!), pies and cakes, all of them seriously to be recommended, judging by their tastes and looks. Speaking of looks, I also loved the café’s stunning interior design, but see for yourself!
Krakowska Manufaktura Czekolady

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a chocoholic. That sounds familiar to you? Then “Krakowska Manufaktura Czekolady” might be the right place for you! At that manufactory you will truly find anything chocolate, and when I say anything, I’m serious about it – there’s chocolate shoes, chocolate animals, chocolate (miniature) houses, pralines and of course also simple chocolate bars, plus you can watch the chocolate manufacturers at work when entering the store. If you’re (most likely) having a desperate need for something sweet after looking at all that yumminess, you can take the stairs to the first floor where you can relax while enjoying one of their chocolate cakes or different chocolate drinks… yum!

Last but by no means least, there’s a slightly remote but very unique café/bookstore well worth visiting called “Massolit Books”. It offers you a vast variety – more than 20.000 titles according to their website – of English books, but besides that you can also have a cup of coffee or tea accompanied by a delish homemade cake. They do also host cultural events from time to time, just check out their website prior to your visit.
